How can I stop procrastinating and start to learn English?
Promise yourself to study only 2 minutes per day. When you proceed, you will never notice how you have spent on learning for 20 minutes.
20 minutes – it is already something.
20 minutes per day, 140 minutes per week and you already know several irregular verbs in English.
In 4 weeks you will be able to read easy books in English (for A1 or A2 level).
Try to take small steps. Two new words per day + spaced repetition.
5 minutes of listening to a simple cartoon in English.
5 minutes of translating some jokes from English to your native language.
5 minutes of practising speaking to your cat or dog in English (they will surely appreciate that.)
5 messages to an English-texting chat.
And in 5 weeks you will already be able to tell your partner what your name is, where you are from, where you work, where you study, what your hobbies are, who your family members are, what they do, and even more.
Isn't that great?
Try to use different applications for Android or iOs, try to use vocabulary cards, handwritten and highlighted by yourself, try to sing in English and count in English.
The more independent practice you will have – the sooner you will improve your skills.
Try to make your learning emotional. Name the things you love the most and hate the most in English.
For instance, you have broken a cup. Curse in English!
Or your best friend has her birthday today. Try to imagine how you will congratulate her on this happy day in English.
You lost your key. Try to describe this situation in English.
You have won a prize. Congratulate yourself on this joyful event in English.
Practice, practice, and practice.
Try to memorize everything you see new in English and make your learning more joyful and emotional.
